2026 Mendi Blackhawks U17’s Squad
Coach: Matthew Bowen
Matthew Bowen spent over 16 years in the game, playing across both the NRL and the Super League, pulling on the jersey for 10 Origin games, and representing Australia and the All Stars.
After hanging up the boots, he jumped straight into coaching, starting at the grassroots, working through the Mal Meninga Cup and local A Grade, and now leading the Harvey Norman U17s Girls.
Matty loves helping young footy players find their feet, and is pumped to keep that going with the Townsville Mendi Blackhawks. He can’t wait to work with these girls and help them grow into the NRLW stars of tomorrow.
