Terry’s Review & Preview leading into Trial Game
Tuesday, February 18, 2025

“We made a few changes this year and the noticeable one was our squad size. It allows us as staff to spend more time drilling down to our process on the field. Mark Henry is our new S&C and has a lot of NRL experience and you can see the group have enjoyed and taken in his way of training”
“It has been a little disrupted with the rain but we are fortunate to have Daniel Strickland allow us to use his gym (Hybrid performance training) so I think the boys are in a good position with their fitness” Terry said when asked how he has ensured the boys are fit and ready to go for Round 1.
“With this being my second year in the job I have learnt so much from the previous year and it is something I want to keep improving. I was lucky enough to spend a few days with Wayne at Souths and see how he goes about business. The training sessions and the way he communicates are big things I took from my time in Sydney.”
Heading into Trial Games this weekend Terry spoke on what he is looking for in his senior players as well as who will lead the team.
“Just excited footy is back and see how everyone performs on the field. We have a few players that we cant wait to see and hopefully get to play cup this year”
Trials are about combinations and also giving guys opportunities. We as staff just want guys to enjoy themselves and do their job on the field to give them the best chance to play rd 1.
Terry has also announced who the Leadership Team is for HPC this year.
Captain: Jack Campagnolo
Vice Captains: Nick Brown and Jayden Hodges
Club Captain: James Tamou.
Jack great communicator on and off the field. He has a lot of experience both in cup and super league and he talks well on the field so I think he will be a great captain to help drive the team.
