DAY 1: Juniors Pre-Season Training Begins
The 17s and 19s Harvey Norman Girls squads are back in action prepping for the upcoming season.
Last Wednesday, the girls split off into their age groups and were introduced to the coaching staff, got to know their fellow team members and went though expectations and standards for the year ahead.
The girls got straight into it training then with some on field work including their 1.2 testing, some basic ball skills (eg. Catch and Pass drills), some conditioning sets and then finished off with some ball passing races for a bit of fun.
Training for the girls moving forward will now start to look at basic skills around the game from both attacking and defensive sides of things as well as starting to organise positions and game knowledge.
In the coming weeks the Cyril Connell Cup and Mal Meninga squads will commence their pre-season trainings, as well as our Hostplus Cup squad starting up again soon too.
