The Townsville Mendi Blackhawks Intrust Super Cup, Season 2017 was officially launched in style on Friday night at Brothers Leagues Club, Townsville.
Special guest Mal Meninga, was a major highlight of the evening, as was the naming of the 2017 team.
Given the Under 18 competition is named after him, Mal was only too happy to spend time with coach Roy Baira and captain Jack Althaus and talk about the season ahead.
Later in the evening, Meninga had the audience enthralled, as he recounted his playing career, before giving insights into his coaching of the successful Queensland State of Origin and Australian teams.
It was a night to remember for all those who attended and a great way to start season 2017 #blackandgreenin17
