Townsville & Districts Mendi Blackhawks players Ryhse Martin and Corey Jensen will be taking part in exhibition boxing matches this Saturday night in support of the FIGHT FOR LIFE, NO SURRENDER fight night which will be held this Saturday 5th December 2015 at RSL Stadium.

Featuring professional boxers Mark “Bam Bam” Flanagan, Dean Thomas, Ryan Heck, Liam Cortez Paro, Jamie McIntyre, Matt Burgoyne plus interstate opponents and celebrity exhibition matches the event will pay homage to Suicide Awareness and bring large community awareness across all sectors of Sports and Charity. Teaming up with Headspace & Beyond Blue the main theme of the event will be Suicide Awareness and via our Memorabilia auction we will raise a nice contribution towards these selected charities.

Both Rhyse and Corey have been training at Hawks Boxing Club under Dennis Clancy for the past month and will each take to the ring on Saturday night in separate exhibition bouts in support of Suicide Awareness.  The players are excited to take to the ring, in the name of fun and a great cause.

Former Australian Cruiserweight Champion Mark “Bam Bam” Flanagan will be making his come back fight after a 12-month hiatus and returning to his path towards WBO, WBA, WBC & IBF World Title Shots being only 3 fights away from any of these. Mark was recently awarded the Sakio Bika Knockout of the year award via Aus-Boxing‘s yearly award platform.

Known as a Knockout Artist Mark is the most savage Cruiser Weight in Australian Boxing and is already recognised on an international level as a world-class fighter. Committed to his current training camp at Hawks Boxing, Mark is ready to prove why he is the best in the world.

Mark is a highly regarded athlete within the community and has worked closely with the North Queensland Cowboys within their own training camp, having support from Cowboys Nutritionists and Personal Trainers.

Also featuring on the card will be a handful of Queensland’s most talented Professional Boxers across an array of different weight classes.
